Nile River Basin Countries MODIS ET Data Agreement

The Nile River Basin Countries MODIS ET data provided on this FTP server are freely available and were furnished by Qiaozhen Mu (qiaozhenmu@gmail.com) and Maosheng Zhao (zhaoms@umd.edu) who encourage their use. The data on this FTP site were generated using the latest improved MODIS 16 ET algorithm locally over the Nile River Basin Countries for the NBI projects funded by United Nations and World Bank.
Please kindly inform Qiaozhen Mu (qiaozhenmu@gmail.com) and Maosheng Zhao (zhaoms@umd.edu) of how you intend to use the data and of any publication plans.  It is also important to contact Qiaozhen Mu (qiaozhenmu@gmail.com) and Maosheng Zhao to assure you are downloading the latest revision of the data and to prevent potential misuse or misinterpretation of the data.  Please acknowledge the data source, Qiaozhen Mu (qiaozhenmu@gmail.com), and Maosheng Zhao (zhaoms@umd.edu) as a citation or in the acknowledgments if no citation is available.
If Qiaozhen Mu (qiaozhenmu@gmail.com) and Maosheng Zhao feel that they should be acknowledged or offered participation as authors, they will let you know and we assume that an agreement on such matters will be reached before publishing and/or use of the data for publication.  If your work directly competes with Qiaozhen Mu's or Maosheng Zhao's analysis they may ask that they have the opportunity to submit a manuscript before you submit one that uses unpublished data.  In addition, when publishing, please ask Qiaozhen Mu and Maosheng Zhao to acknowledge the agency that supports the research.  Lastly, we kindly request that those publishing papers using Nile River Basin Countries MODIS ET data provide preprints to Qiaozhen Mu AND Maosheng Zhao providing the data.
